About the directory
How listings and verification work
What each label on a listing means, what we check, what we don't, and how practitioners get listed.
Separate statuses, shown separately
A listing can have some of these and not others. We never combine them into one vague “verified” label.
- Profile reviewed and approvedOur team reviews every profile before it is published and reviews important changes before they go live.
- Credentials checkedShown only for credentials we have checked ourselves, with the issuer, the date and how we checked.
- Framework CertifiedThe practitioner passed our knowledge assessment based on Anxiety University. It is about education, not licensing.
- Audio contributorThe practitioner contributed an original audio session that our team reviewed and accepted.
- Listing activeOnly listings with an active listing route appear in the directory. Applications and expired listings are not shown.
What “Credentials checked” means
When a practitioner adds a licence, registration, membership, degree or certification, we check it in one of three ways: a lookup on the issuer's public register, a review of documents they send us, or confirmation from the issuer. The profile shows the issuer, when we checked and how.
Clinical professionals are approved only after we have checked at least one professional licence, registration or membership.
What it doesn't mean
- It is not an endorsement or a recommendation.
- It doesn't guarantee the quality or outcome of care.
- Registers change. Where a register link is shown, you can check the current status yourself.
The Framework Certified seal
Practitioners earn it by passing a 30-question knowledge assessment based on Anxiety University, the educational library behind Anxiety Checklist, followed by a review by our team. It is earned once and held for life: it does not expire.
The seal always carries this wording:
Anxiety Checklist Framework CertifiedPassed the Anxiety Checklist knowledge assessment based on Anxiety University. This badge is separate from professional licensing and credential verification.
What it doesn't mean
- It is not a professional licence or accreditation.
- It doesn't confirm clinical competence or specialist expertise.
- It is separate from the credential checks described above.
Every certification has a public verification page showing the holder, what it certifies, when it was issued and whether it is still current.
Clinical professionals and wellness practitioners
Clinical professionals
Psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, counsellors, mental health clinics and group practices. They may list clinical areas such as OCD, PTSD or generalised anxiety disorder.
Wellness practitioners
Hypnotherapists, EFT, NLP and breathwork practitioners, meditation teachers, and neurofeedback, float therapy and wellness centres. They are not licensed healthcare providers, don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and can't list clinical-only areas.
How practitioners are ordered
Results appear in a fair order that rotates every day. Placement is never for sale: paying for a listing doesn't move anyone up. We don't show ratings, reviews or testimonials.
How practitioners get listed
Every route needs an approved profile. Paying doesn't skip review and doesn't grant the seal.
- Annual listingA yearly paid listing for one profile, in as many relevant categories and locations as apply.
- Audio contributionAn original audio session for people with anxiety, reviewed and accepted by our team.
- Framework Certified sealPass the knowledge assessment once and you're certified for life. Showing the seal on your own website is optional.
Using the directory safely
The directory helps you find and contact practitioners directly. We don't handle bookings, messages or payments between you and a practitioner.
If something on a profile looks wrong, email us with a link to the profile: [email protected]
Practitioner listing terms (summary)
These summaries will be replaced by full terms before public launch.
Listing routes
A profile stays listed while at least one route is active. Annual listing: US$100 a year, renewing every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and the listing stays active until the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails, you have a 14-day grace period to fix it. Audio contribution: each accepted contribution keeps the listing active for 12 months, plus a 30-day grace period. Framework Certified seal: pass the knowledge assessment once and get approval from our team; the certification is for life and keeps the listing active with no fee and no renewal. Showing the seal on your website is optional.
Review
Every profile and important change is reviewed before it is published. Paying doesn't skip review. We may reject an application, or suspend or remove a listing, if it doesn't meet these terms.
Accurate information
You must keep your profile, qualifications and credentials accurate and up to date, and tell us if a licence or registration lapses or changes.
No ratings or paid ranking
The directory shows no ratings, reviews or testimonials. Results appear in a fair rotating order, and placement can't be bought.
Your services
You are responsible for the services you provide, for your dealings with clients, and for complying with the laws, regulations and professional rules that apply to you. Anxiety Checklist does not provide, supervise or endorse your services.
Contact details
Your website and booking links are shown on your profile. Your email address and phone number are shown only if you choose to show them, and only when a visitor asks to reveal them.
Removal
You can ask us to remove your listing at any time. A removed profile is hidden straight away, and its personal details are deleted 30 days later. We keep billing and audit records as required.
Audio contribution licence (summary)
These summaries will be replaced by full terms before public launch.
Your original work
You confirm the recording is your original work, or that you hold all the rights needed to share it, including for any voices, music or sounds in it.
What you allow us to do
You grant Anxiety Checklist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, publish, adapt (for example, edit its length or format) and distribute the recording on its website and in its apps, with attribution to you.
You keep ownership
The recording remains yours, and you are free to use it elsewhere. You can ask us to remove it from future publication at any time.
No clinical claims
The recording must not diagnose, promise a cure or make other clinical claims, and must not promote your services or include contact details.
