Tapping, guided step by step

Common EFT tapping points marked on a calm man: top of the head, eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone and the side of the hand.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. You tap lightly on specific points, like the side of your hand or under your eye, while you name what you’re feeling.

It sounds unusual, but it’s simple. The first video explains what EFT is and how to do it, so you never have to guess.

Why EFT tapping may help

EFT mixes gentle tapping with naming and accepting what you feel, instead of fighting it.

Research on EFT is still growing. Some studies suggest it may reduce stress and anxiety for some people. Many find the slow, rhythmic tapping calming, and saying the feeling out loud makes it easier to face. Read more: does EFT tapping work?
